No. You may join our program without a referral.
We operate in a clean medical weight loss clinic, in the North-med building located at 7131 Bathurst St, Suite 201. We are in Thornhill, north of Bathurst and Steeles intersection. Or, virtually by video, from anywhere in the world.
Essentially, anyone who is interested in losing weight, learning how to meal plan, getting healthy, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, or improving their fitness level, can significantly benefit from our program.
Weight2Lose Medical Clinics was established in 2013 and helped over 15,000 patients improve their health through medically supervised weight loss. We worked with most healthcare requirements, lifestyle preferences, and weight loss goals.

Most patients will see results in the first 2 weeks. Our program has over 75% weight loss success rate for consistent and active patients, which is very high in our industry. Patients tend to lose an average of 2lbs per week throughout the program. It is common to lose between 30-60 lbs while on the program. Over 60% of our clients on the maintenance program keep the weight off, which is excellent, and some come back for additional support. As a result of losing weight our clients also experience:

There are many factors that may cause a plateau such as: inflammation, metabolic problems, medications, wrong food selection, wrong meal timing and many other reasons. Yes, of course. We have clients from across Ontario, the rest of Canada, and even internationally. Our medical team has been conducting remote programming since 2013.
Yes, absolutely. Weight2Lose premium program offers all services in complete privacy. At the same time, our small support groups are also friendly, intimate, and effective for many of our clients.
Weight2lose program does not have a set timeline and may vary in length depending on the unique requirements of each client. We help patients in accordance with their chronic conditions, unique health objectives and/or weight loss goals. Typically, programs range from 3 to 12 months.
Your nutritionist will spend 1 hour during your intake consultation. Your ongoing weekly nutritionist visits are typically 20-30 minutes. Your personal training and semi-private training sessions are 60 minutes. Support groups are typically 1 hour in length. Your doctor visits are 10-40 minutes (depending on your medical needs).
Weight gain often contributes to or causes chronic conditions. Our trained weight loss physicians collaborate with your nutrition and fitness experts, supervise your weight loss progress as a team, and address any health-related changes while you are losing weight. If you have medical conditions such as type 2 Diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, arthritis, fatty liver, sleep apnea or any other condition that requires medication, we can monitor your health status, assess bloodwork, and monitor your health while you are losing weight. Furthermore, when you achieve your weight loss milestones, our physicians can also advise on reducing your medication. At the same time, our weight loss physicians can answer nutrition questions, promote accountability and a positive mindset, and much more.
Will I have full access to Weight2Lose virtual resources library for nutrition and behavior modification?
Yes. All Weight2Lose clients enjoy access to our comprehensive library of preventive healthcare resources, with hundreds of need specific dietary interventions for a wide range of medical conditions, categorized weight loss meal plans, thousands of categorized recipes, behavior modification courses, and more.
Please note that our program is not fully covered by OHIP. If you are an Ontario resident, OHIP covers your consultations with your Weight2Lose medical doctors. At the same time, our program includes a wide range of non-OHIP services and online resources.
Our virtual membership is $50 per month. Our live program is personalized. We need to learn about your specific weight loss goals and timeline, healthcare requirements, lifestyle, and privacy preferences, to give you a specific quote. No! There are no other fees besides the program itself. We encourage regular shopping in grocery stores, with a focus on real food and natural products. Your personal nutritionist will educate you on how to prepare healthy meals and snacks, provide specific recipes in accordance with your food preferences, budget and health goals and adjust your plan every week to ensure you are successful and completely satisfied with your new lifestyle.
Yes, if you have such coverage in your plan. Some insurance plans may provide coverage for our nutrition services. If you would like to use your benefits, we will provide a signed invoice for you to submit to your insurance plan vendor.
Yes. Weight loss maintenance is at the forefront of our agenda. Once you reach your goal weight, we will provide you with a maintenance plan to ensure your success is permanent, with an option to continue seeing us live, at a low frequency. Also, once you complete your live program term, we recommend keeping your virtual (online) membership. It can serve as a powerful tool to continue growing your weight loss and nutrition knowledge, develop additional health and fitness habits, and retain access to our growing library of resources.
Personal Training & Exercise Planning FAQs at Weight2lose
We operate in a boutique and completely private exercise studio setting, located at 7131 Bathurst St. Suite 201, in Thornhill, north of Bathurst and Steeles. Or, virtually by video, from anywhere in the world.
If you are far, our personal trainers are happy to guide you by video. You will have equal level of success with our program if you are consistent and disciplined.
This part is also unique about the Weight2Lose personal training program. You have a variety of semi-private and/or private session options. Exercise routines are highly personalized, in line with participants’ injuries (when applicable), exercise limitations and fitness level. For example, you may choose to join a semi-private Pilates session, and the following week, jump into 2 yoga sessions, with only a few more participants, or in complete privacy. And perhaps when you are ready, we will show you some safe strength training exercises. We are experienced and equipped to conduct any workout and/or exercises, for any fitness level, aligned with your health and fitness goals.
Yes, absolutely. Weight2Lose offers this service in complete privacy, when requested.
Training frequency can range from only 1x/month all the way to 5 sessions per week. For example, if you only wish to receive an exercise program to follow at home, a Weight2Lose personal trainer can meet with you on a monthly or semi-monthly frequency and put together a personalized exercise plan for your home or gym use. This will help you with exercise accountability and provide need specific programs, in line with you exercise capabilities, and available equipment. If you enjoy working out with a trainer regularly, you are welcome to train semi-privately, or in complete privacy at a higher frequency.
Classes run 6 days per week, and you may select from multiple time options in the mornings, afternoons and/or evenings.
If you prefer training in complete privacy, then it will be one-on-one, with only your personal trainer in the room. If you are pursuing our semi-private personal training program, our group size limit is 4 participants.
This is highly encouraged. We recommend you try several classes of interest, like fat burning classes, strength training, rehabilitation, Pilates, Yoga and more. Once you decide on the best fit, you can continue all your sessions with your trainer/s of choice.
Yes, you may consult a weight loss physician, in any program scenario.

Yes. All Weight2Lose clients enjoy access to our comprehensive library of preventive healthcare resources, with hundreds of dietary interventions for a wide range of medical conditions, categorized weight loss meal plans, behavior modification courses, and much more.
Weight2Lose personal training clients receive personalized, in-home exercise routines. Your workout routine contains plenty of exercise visuals, and a detailed workout program structure. You may also access all your exercise videos through our program design app on any phone and computer.
Structured and personalized exercise programs developed by your personal trainer. Each program features specific weekly program structure, high-definition exercise videos, with clear voice and written movement instructions. Your in-home exercise content is accessible inside your fitness app and can be printed as well.
